VanDeMark In The Chemical Processing Industry
Since 1951, VanDeMark has specialized in the manufacture of fine chemicals. The origins of the company date back to 1932. Our expertise is phosgene and phosgene derivatives, a specialty that requires intense concentration on advanced research and development, excellence in production technology, and strict adherence to the highest standards for safety, security and environmental responsibility.
A landmark development by VanDeMark from the 1990s was the emphasis on our proprietary PTSI (para-Toluene Sulfonyl Isocyanate / (CAS# 4083-64-1). Also known in the industry as Additive TI, PTSI has wide application in removing moisture during the manufacture of urethane-based adhesives, sealants, paints and coatings to enhance the quality and extend the shelf-life of the end products.
VanDeMark was acquired in 1999 by Isochem/Groupe SNPE and made significant investments in facility upgrades. (VanDeMark and SNPE later separated in 2007.)
In 2006, VanDeMark received the Excellence Award from the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) and in 2007, the Energy Efficiency Award from the American Chemical Council (ACC). Early in 2016, VanDeMark was recertified to the newly updated ISO standards.
